Duties & Responsibilities

You will contribute to the operational success of Core Home Services by leading Partner fitters and 3rd party contractor fitters in market leading installations and fitting services that match the John Lewis brand.

You will need to be technically skilled and service focussed.

The role operates on a regional basis, visiting customer homes with Installers to assure quality, and improve service. To manage fitting capacity according to demand. To manage resolution of escalated complaints around installations of Core Home services.

Job Requirements

This is a Leadership role focused on the line management of Partner fitters and third;party contractors to deliver exemplary service standards and achieve retail commercial outcomes. The roleholder will have financial control over their area, and will need to have a strong understanding of profit and loss accounts and associated costs. The role holder will onboard new fitters to meet demand, and future growth. They will quality assure all works by all fitting teams. They must have good customer service skills, as well as be a strong negotiator, and be able to remain calm in difficult conversations.

The role holder must uphold the John Lewis brand to our best customers, and build trust in cases where the installation process has been escalated. It will suit an individual with strong management and negotiation skills, who enjoys taking ownership for achieving business and personal objectives.

This role is classed as 'Mobile'. Mobile workers have a defined location but no fixed place of work. This role will cover branches within the Scottish area- Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glaggow.

Partners who are Mobile workers will be provided with a Partnership vehicle, however, if public transport is used for a business journey, the full cost of the ticket(s) will be reimbursed. The whole of the geographical area is considered the work place and all travel within that area is classed as business travel.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Computer literate
Line Management
Managing field based workers, and 3rd party contractors
Customer complaints resolution
Full understanding of Flooring, furnishing and kitchen installations.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

Knowledge of profit and loss account.
Supplier management.
