Description

We have three exciting new permanent positions in the John Lewis partnership within our Events department as an Events Officer.

John Lewis is renowned for its customer service and as an Events Officer, you will be at the forefront of delivering outstanding customer experiences to some of our most loyal customers. You will be responsible for the management of all aspects of our John Lewis events from the organising and planning to the delivery either in store or online.

As the key point of contact you will be using your exceptional communication skills to build and maintain relationships with a wider variety of internal and external stakeholders including; suppliers, marketing, branches and buying teams.

Due to the nature of the role with some event delivery occurring outside of standard working hours, flexible working will be required to include some evening and weekend work. 

What will you be doing 

Delivering events, experiences, creative concepts and key brand moments, using your ability to multitask and work in multiple projects at once.

Playing a key role in providing logistic support with events and will be a main point of contact for branches, suppliers and buying contacts.

Supporting the Events team in helping deliver successful established customer experiences and events, both in store and online, resulting in exemplary customer satisfaction metrics and significant resulting revenue.

Working with cross-functional Partners to deliver successful experiences for our customers, whilst demonstrating organisation, creative initiative and the ability to work independently.

Supporting major projects, as well as delivering certain projects independently across all category areas on/in both in store and virtual platforms.

What you'll have

  • Highly organised and an ability to prioritise whilst working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and team members to reach common goals and develop strong working relationships throughout the business

  • Strong digital events knowledge and experience

  • Customer focused approach with an understanding of key customer success metrics

  • Wide cross-functional stakeholder, collaborative project and programme working experience

  • Driven and self motivated to achieve goals in ambiguity

  • Relevant and proven event management experience

  • Strong digital events knowledge and experience

  • Qualifications or professional events management qualification

  • Strong presentation skills

  • In house and agency experience

  • Experience working in agile and cross-matrixed organisations

  • Strong communication and listening skills
