Duties & Responsibilities

This is a mantra that sits at the heart of what the John Lewis Partnership's Ventures Team aims to achieve and currently they are looking for an experienced Digital Product Owner to join its team of dedicated professionals in their passionate pursuit to enhance the quality of their customers' lives.

On a day to day basis, the Ventures Team are focused on developing propositions that will benefit both the customers of today as well as those of the future and the fast paced, high quality nature in which these propositions are delivered means that not one of those days are the same.

We are hoping to find a like-minded professional, with a background in delivering digital first customer focused propositions. In this role you will both lead and motivate a cross-functional team to define, deliver and own the digital platforms for brand new products coming out of the JLP Ventures team. The role holder is responsible for the management of the product backlog, benefit analysis, minimum viable product and prioritisation. They will also be responsible for overall digital performance and optimisation of their product.

This will be a perfect chance to be at the forefront of the delivery of the very latest innovations being proposed by both John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners. Job Requirements

- To define the future direction for the product experience, taking into account the product strategy, commercial benefits case, customer perspective.
- To understand the performance of the end to end digital product using digital analytics and optimisation tools.
- To collate and measuring progress of responses to customer feedback.
- To create digital products that are accessible and inclusive.
- To share knowledge and use it to identify new opportunities and improve existing functionality.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

- Experience of using lean/agile methodology in creating brand new digital products from scratch.
- Experience in developing scope, epics, stories, and mapping to commercial outcomes.
- Experience of matrixed ways of working.
- Has a strong focus on User Experience, how devices (mobile / desktop/voice) are used in different contexts and the unique capabilities of applications compared to other platforms.
- Highly numerical/analytical with strong data analysis skills.
- Team Leadership.
- Commercial Awareness.
- Ability to work through ambiguity.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

- Understanding of logistics networks.
- Experience of e-commerce
