Our Installation specialists are the face of the John Lewis & Partners brand. For over 100 years we have worked hard to create an enviable reputation that we can all be proud of. When you join the team as a Customer Delivery Driver Installer Trainee you will be one our our qualified drivers with full pay. You will embark on the John Lewis & Partners Installer accreditation to become a fully qualified Customer Delivery Driver Installer. You will work closely with your line manager and one of our Installers to ensure you reach your full potential during the training program.
As a John Lewis & Partners Customer Delivery Driver Installer Trainee your typical day may involve:
- Using your local knowledge to plan your schedule for the day
- Handling a complex installation in a customer home
- Taking part in a Forum to help shape the future direction of your department
Our Installer Trainees work 4 days out of 6 (Monday - Saturday) which means you'll enjoy 3 days off each week to maintain a healthy work/life balance. We also offer overtime when required so there's potential to top up your earnings. Please see the the attached example rota to help you see how well you'll fit into this role.

As a driver, candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the relevant regulations as well as possessing the correct skills to pass the driver assessment. Candidates should be committed to achieving the Partner and customer satisfaction targets and Service Targets, within the context of the Partnership's core values, behaviours and principles. Required essential experience skills and qualifications
A valid LGV C1 driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points), Driver Qualification Card (DQC) / Driver CPC and a valid digital tachograph card.
Required desirable experience skills and qualifications
Previous experience in a customer facing role Previous experience of the installation of white goods, building of furniture or associated skills
