What’s the role about?

An exciting permanent role has become available within the Creative & Content Team for an experienced Copywriter for John Lewis & Partners. Based within our Victoria Head Office under the direction of the Product Copywriter Manager, you will be accountable for creating and developing exceptional copy in response to product launches, as well as commercial and creative briefs set by the business. To achieve this you will have excellent language skills and the ability to analyse customer insight data, in order to deliver informative and inspiring copy to create impact within the omni channel customer experience space.

As a Partner within the business, the successful candidate will also support our Partnership purpose and democratic principles, by constructively participating in co-ownership, and demonstrating to customers and each other that it is a better way of doing business. They will also actively share knowledge, experiences, ideas and opinions to improve the Partnership, always speaking honestly and frequently.

What will you be doing?

  • Produce informative and inspiring copy about the products we sell online, delivered to high standards and within the tone of the voice guidelines

  • Analysing digital, SEO, customer feedback and performance metrics to ensure all published content is relevant to the consumer

  • Delivering workflow and process standards within set SLA’s

  • Creating and managing own critical paths

  • Regularly ‘comp shopping’ competitors and the wider social media network to ensure copy stays relevant

  • Expertise in digital and SEO

  • Experience with Content Management Systems

  • Experienced in writing for omni-channel,store environments and social platforms
