Bracknell based with travel to other head offices on a periodic basis

The pay range for this role will increase to: £48,700 to £71,100 from 1st April 2019

Duties & Responsibilities

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager to join our retail construction team has become available. You will deliver strategic retail and non-retail projects and programmes of work for the Partnership. We have exciting plans to continue our significant investment into our existing physical estate with a wide range of varied projects. You'll be joining a fun, dynamic, professional team leading the delivery of projects from exception to completion.

Job Requirements

Key responsibilities to include;
- Deliver complex programmes within approved financial budget (up to circa £20m/project with annual budget accountability upto circa £50m)
- All legal and statutory approvals for the project/programme of work and ensuring compliance with current Construction Health and Safety legislation
- Champion change and inspire the others to innovate whilst having a planned approach
- Encourage more efficient and cost effective ways of working
- Responsible for design standards through category management

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

- Membership, or actively working towards membership, of the RICS or CIOB
- Delivery of retail construction projects in a formal project manager role
- Experience managing a team consisting of internal and external resources, and 3rd party supplier.
Experience negotiating construction programmes and specifications for agreements for lease with major Developers/landlords.
-Experience building, managing and influencing diverse relationships across a business
- Experience operating in a challenging organisational environment with a requirement to balance differing priorities and demands

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

- Chartered Surveyor or MSc level qualification in relevant discipline or suitable experience of managing construction within a retail/supermarket environment
-Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a Construction or Project Management related subject
- Experience of managing construction with a retail/supermarket environment from feasibility through to delivery, including comprehensive knowledge of the planning process and the negotiation of developers shell specifications and agreements for lease
