What’s the role about?

John Lewis Financial Services is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their Foreign Exchange team. We are looking for someone to join us as we venture into new propositions and explore new potential revenue streams. 

You will be supporting the delivery and ambitions of the multi-channel commercial strategy, working with Third Party providers and internal stakeholders. You will be managing the full product lifecycle, delivering maximum customer value in line with our strategy and operational plan. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone comfortable with new and changing product propositions. You will have visibility on all areas of the product life cycle, from concept to taking it to market.

What you'll be doing?

  • Assist in planning, analysing and delivering product developments to maximise value through New Business and In Life activity
  • Owning elements of the product life cycle to maximise customer value and returns
  • Manage and deliver projects as assigned by the Senior Commercial Manager ensuring delivery in line with the critical path 
  • Undertake analysis and deliver recommendations for product enhancements which drive competitive position, customer satisfaction and profit based on sound industry and market research
  • Responsible for compliance with John Lewis policies & procedures within the legal and regulatory framework

What you’ll have?

  • Experience in proposition development and bringing products to market
  • Experience of data analysis and making recommendations
  • Experience of working within a complex matrixed environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Foreign Exchange and/or payments experience (desirable but not essential)
  • P&L ownership
