Duties & Responsibilities

Tucked away in rural Hampshire is the popular Leckford Farm Shop and Cafe, offering customers not only the opportunity to buy fresh and locally grown produce but to enjoy freshly prepared food in a fantastic setting.

As our Chef you will be joining a team focused on delivering on and exceeding the expectations of our customers. You'll be responsible for leading the food production operation giving you an opportunity to show your passion for food which will motivate the team to deliver quality food production utilising the variety of produce found on the estate and from our local and regional suppliers, demonstrate a passion for sales and enthusiasm for growth and development of the cafe.

Job Requirements

You'll be required to develop seasonal dishes using local produce to exceed our customers expectations. Maintain profit margins through planning and cost control by using your knowledge, experience and expertise. Empower, support and develop the kitchen and cafe partners to create menus for all occasions.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

- Level 2 Food Hygiene
- Working as a chef at a senior level in a professional kitchen
- Leading teams
- Strong organisational skills.
- PC literate.
- Seasonal menu development

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

- Relevant professional chef qualifications: City and Guilds diplomas in professional cookery, BTEC HNC in Professional cookery or equivalent,
- Level 3 Food Hygiene.
