Duties & Responsibilities

John Lewis & Partners is one of Britain's most prestigious retail brands. Our reputation for exemplary products and services are underpinned by a demanding supply chain centred at our cutting edge Magna Park National Distribution Centre, which handles a throughput of over 200 million units per year.

We have an excellent opportunity for an inquisitive and experienced Business Analyst to join our Distribution Network Planning team, who will utilise their highly analytical skill-set to build and present data-driven insights to key stakeholders across Distribution and Operations, in order to best optimise the performance of our supply chain.

Job Requirements

A strong knowledge of supply chain and distribution operations will be important, as will be the ability to understand and interpret complex issues and processes with agility in order to proactively identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

The successful candidate will be highly computer literate, adept at using business intelligence tools, Microsoft Excel and VBA to analyse data sets with a keen eye for detail. In addition, you will be curious and results-oriented, performing exploratory analyses and tenaciously driving new insights for your stakeholders.

This is an operational role which is based at John Lewis & Partners' cutting edge National Distribution Centre, Magna Park in Milton Keynes. On occasion, the successful candidate may be required to travel to other sites within the network and third-party fulfilment providers, as well as John Lewis & Partners' Head Office in London Victoria.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

We are looking for highly computer-literate candidates who can evidence experience and proficiency with:
- BI Tools.
- Business Analysis.
- MS Excel, VBA.

You will also possess:
- MS Word & PowerPoint Presentation skills.
- Experience with systems analysis.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

Proficiency with the following programmes will be advantageous:
- MS Visio
- MS Project
- MS Access (e.g. Pro Clarity, Business Objects)
