As a Bar Team Leader, you will be a brand ambassador committed to providing an exceptional and unmatched customer experience. You will greet customers, take drink orders, offer recommendations, and serve exquisite drinks that will delight our guests.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining high standards of beverage service throughout the hotel, as well as creating a professional and successful team. Your duties will include planning and managing shifts, holiday schedules, and team training.
You will collaborate with colleagues in Food Production, Reception, and Events to manage bookings and resource allocation. You will also oversee cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and the allocation of daily tasks. You will supervise the work being done, resolve any issues that arise in maintaining standards, and act as the first point of contact to resolve customer queries and requests related to beverage service.
Salary - 24,400.00 - 28,400.00 per annum - from the 1st April 2025, the pay range changes to £26,500 - £36,000. Due to the expected start date of this role, your pay rate offer will be inclusive of this review.
Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
Working pattern/flexible working - 37.5 hours per week. Earliest start is 07.30, latest finish 23.30 if there is no event. (latest finish time 01.00 for an event). 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis.
Location - This role is based at our Odney Club in Cookham.
Key responsibilities
Organise, supervise, and actively participate in the hotel's Bar, Restaurant, and Food and Beverage operations. This includes maintaining and delivering an exemplary standard of food and beverage service, hygiene, and food safety across all areas of the Food and Beverage operation to ensure a first-rate guest experience.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
● Proven experience in supervising food and beverage service.
● Self-motivated and hardworking with strong IT and communication skills.
● Excellent attention to detail.
● Skilled in preparing cocktails and other drinks to a high standard.
● Passionate about providing exceptional service with creativity and flair.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
● Certificate in Food and Beverage Service
● Level 2 Food Hygiene
● Personal License
● Certificate in Mixology/Barista trained
