Job Requirements

● Drives and delivers innovative, quality focused and differentiated NPD whilst understanding and
managing the commercial implications of development
● Builds, strengthens and owns the NPD relationships between Waitrose and suppliers and are
ambassadors of Own Brand values
● Develops and delivers first to market opportunities
● Support Category Pod to deliver individual accountabilities
● Facilitate horizontal working across Category Pods

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Is passionate about product
Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Is self motivated with strong energy and drive to lead and motivate others
Has excellent organisational skills and project management experience
Works well collaboratively across the business
Food Academy (Basic and Advanced), Sensory Training, Basic project management
Educated to degree level.
Manufacturing experience; buying experience; product technical experience; a passion for product

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

Marketing and commercial experience or a previous Product Developer role.
A proven track record in NPD product development in Food or Non-Food retail or manufacturing.
Experience in managing and launching major NPD/Brand projects.
Has a track record of high quality NPD, delivering market leading innovation.
