Core hours will be Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, but will be flexible against operational requirements.

The home location for this role will be Oxford Street, and this role will also require travel within a cluster of sites that will include Shops, Customer Delivery Hubs (CDHs), Corporate Offices and other locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Profit Protection team have an opportunity for an Area Profit Protection Manager to lead a team of Loss Prevention and Building Security Partners in reducing shrinkage and protecting our Partners and customers from crime, whilst supporting wider business strategies.

We are looking for a self motivated and driven individual with experience of Retail Profit Protection to reduce and minimise areas of risk related to Profit Protection and Shrinkage across a cluster of Shops and CDHs. You will be responsible for Investigating shrinkage results, trends and implement remedial actions to maximise profit and minimise loss at your multi site level.

This is a Shop based role that will require travel within a cluster of sites that will include Shops, CDHs, Corporate Offices and other locations. You'll have a home location and onward travel will be supported by the Partnership.

Job Requirements

- To deliver a proactive approach to Shrinkage within Shops and CDH sites identification and deterrence in John Lewis & Partners
- Manage the performance of your Profit Protection team. Provide leadership and training to improve knowledge and skill set
- Reduce loss in business units through Shrinkage Action Plans, investigations and collaboration with other operational functions
- Strong stakeholder management with site leadership teams
- Ensure compliance with Profit Protection Policies, Standards and Procedures in Shops and CDHs
- Assist Shops and CDHs network to create a Profit Protection awareness culture whilst monitoring performance through Management Information
- Day to day optimisation of Profit Protection resource to reduce cost to serve and maximise return on investment

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in Profit Protection or multi site working
- Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills
- Conflict Management skills
- Ability to work alone
- Good knowledge of retail operations
- Good knowledge of Profit Protection industry
- Experience of working in retail environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation
- Good process knowledge
- Commercially aware
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

- LPC/LPQ/CFI Qualified
- Interview/Interrogation WZ/PACE
- Management experience
- Advanced Profit Protection knowledge
- Systems and shrinkage controls
