As the Agriculture Manager, Fresh Produce you will be ensuring a secure supply of fresh produce for our own label products that meets our required standards into the long term
You will be help the team maintain Waitrose's reputation as the market leader in sustainable and ethical
farming and having the strongest partnerships with farmers and growers.

Job Requirements

This role would suit a self-starter with extensive experience in the fresh produce industry and a deep
understanding and expert knowledge of growing. A strong personal belief in the values of Waitrose &
Partners holds with regards to ethical and sustainable farming is key. They will need to be forward
thinking, demonstrating an ability to anticipate future issues and propose pragmatic solutions. The role
requires close collaboration with the fresh produce category teams so an affinity for building strong
working relationships and being a team player will be critical.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Experience of working in the fresh produce industry essential, and experience of managing
fresh produce supply chains highly desirable.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

Graduate calibre desirable. Degree in agriculture/horticulture related subject particularly
relevant.
