Description

We have a very exciting opportunity within John Lewis Commercial Sales for a dynamic Account Manager to join our property team: the specific remit being to develop the business pipeline for our interiors solution within the build to rent market. 

We are looking for a driven and ambitious candidate with significant experience within this area and a proven track record of business development and sales generation. The role demands a passion for the John Lewis brand and the home products we sell, as well as the ability to deliver extensive growth within this service proposition. 

 

Networking (physically & digitally), seeking out new opportunities, completing, submitting and presenting tenders are all key demonstrable skills needed. The role will also oversee our Interior Design sector, including responsibility for both managing existing accounts and growing our new customer base.    

What you will be doing:

Delivering sales and profits in line with budgets and be expected to reforecast in season as required. You will build a sales pipeline of new and existing customers to deliver this.

Managing the commercial relationship with Commercial Sales customers, third parties or service providers, delivering on business plans, sales and profit, developed by the Senior Business Managers or Commercial Lead.

Managing a set of customers to deliver the agreed internal budgets and reforecast in year as appropriate. You will deliver initiatives building a pipeline of growth related activity.

Developing a mutually beneficial trading relationship with B2B customers, monitoring the compliance of relevant brand and operational requirements as laid out in the relevant contract.

Working closely with Operational Development, Customer Support, Finance, Retail Ops, Marketing, Supply Chain and Buying/Merchandising to deliver the requirements of your accounts.

Analysing market information and be the market expert in your proposition/markets. You will use this knowledge to support the growth of sales and profitability of your business.

What you will have:

Experience in furnishing market.

Previous sales or account management or Customer relationship management.

Experience of working in a customer centric sales environment.

What you will also bring:

Experience of propositions and markets is an advantage.

MS Office and Google suite knowledge.

Property Only: Project Management, Prince 2 qualification preferable or significant experience of delivering complex
operational projects.
