Hours of work:

Monday to Friday and rotated Saturdays

About the Role:

As a Technician you spend a proportion of your working day completing installations and assemblies in customers’ homes. The role requires you to have a high level of technical competence. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching colleagues of varying abilities to achieve their personal development goals. 

You will have:

  • A passion for delivering excellence in customer experience

  • Safe and efficient driving standards that follow legal and best practice requirements 

  • Act as an ambassador for the John Lewis brand

  • Excellent customer service

  • Good manual handling skills

  • Be driven and motivated

Required Qualifications: 

  • Over 18 years old 

  • C1 Driving License (maximum 6 points)

  • Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)

  • Drivers Qualification Card (DQC)

  • Digital Tachograph Card
     

Desirable skills: 

  • Previous experience in a multi drop role

  • Good local geographical knowledge 

  • Installation and disconnection of white goods

  • TV Installation 

  • Assembly of flat packs

  • Good IT skills

  • Competently complete TV Wall Mounts 

  • Complete Lighting Installations (valid NICEIC Certificate)

  • Complete the disconnection and reconnection of integrated laundry, dishwashing and refrigeration appliances

Duties and Responsibilities

To provide a lead in the delivery of excellent customer service by driving a company supplied vehicle to deliver, assemble and install products in customers’ premises in line with the planned route.
