Duties & Responsibilities

Our Industrial Placement Programme within Customer Loyalty will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership different and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects you will also receive relevant on the job training.

The Placement student Increase customer lifetime value and loyalty through targeted data led marketing campaigns.

As the Partnership moves towards a customer centric strategy, customer data is viewed as the key enabler across the group. myWaitrose is central to the 'Deepening Customer Relationships' pillar of the Modern Waitrose strategy. The loyalty scheme has expanded at great pace over the last 5 years across all key metrics including customer membership, sales penetration, basket penetration and scheme benefits. The scheme has challenged the norms of UK loyalty schemes by launching a scheme without points.

This role is predominantly focused on emails, but with opportunities to support and work on other projects within the myWaitrose scheme. The type of email activity includes weekly offers, competition emails, supplier emails, category emails and seasonal campaigns. To date the focus of many activities has been on driving basket level spend and frequency. With the step change in data/analysis capability across the Partnership, this is an exciting role in truly driving customer loyalty and lifetime value and delivering on the myWaitrose the promise of “more of what you love”

Job Requirements

Coordinate and collaborate with agencies, internal stakeholders, marketing, e-commerce, and customer sales and support teams to ensure content is accurate, engaging and relevant.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2019

The assessment centre for this role will be held in November 2018. The placement will start on Monday 9th July 2019.
