New at home store in Ipswich
In Autumn 2012 we will be opening John Lewis Ipswich, creating around 120 jobs. The new at home format is proving very popular. (We've already launched eight new stores.) They stock everything for the home, from furnishings and kitchen goods to linens and haberdashery. The store will feature terminals where customers can browse the full John Lewis range and order on the spot. The new store will allow us to take the unique John Lewis brand, with its exceptional service and premium quality goods to even more customers. It will also mean even more people can join us as Partners in our business, sharing in the hard work – and in our success. In these smaller stores, you'll gain plenty of experience from day one, working with a wide range of products, rather than just in one department. The store will need a range of new people on the shop floor and as managers. So if you thrive in a busy, selling environment, you delight in giving a really superior service and you have the ambition and drive to be a co-owner of a business, these new stores could be the perfect place to develop your career.
