Distribution is about getting the right stock to the right place at the right time. Sounds simple, but in a large retail chain like ours that’s a complex and demanding task which calls for a team of people who all pull together to reach challenging targets. Because, for us, if the fruit or furniture is late, that simply isn’t good enough.
Although Partners who work in Distribution don’t usually interact with customers, our customers nonetheless know that their goods will always be handled with the professional level of service John Lewis and Waitrose are renowned for. So whatever you want to do within in our Distribution business, be prepared to deliver the very highest standards in your role.
Opportunities
We offer jobs at every stage of the supply chain, covering all the processes involved in getting products from our suppliers to our customers. This includes transport from suppliers into our distribution centres, picking out goods at our distribution centres, and then transport to/from John Lewis and Waitrose branches.
